Ronnie Richards Memorial Charity (RRMC)

Germoe Parish Council is proud to work with the RRMC in providing and maintaining 3 defibrillator units and bleed kits across the parish:

In the former phone box on Trewithen Terrace,

At the entrance to Balwest Sunday School and;

At the entrance to Germoe Church Hall

The RRMC has won the South West Prestige Non-profit First Aid Award for the past 8 years in succession - Around 38,000 people freely CPR & AED trained, including nearly 10,000 secondary school students (other organisations charging up to £95.00 per person). The RRMC is committed to supporting all that is tight finances. It is all working hard together that the RRMC has achieved national and international multi-award-winning status with nearly 100 lives saved, adults and children, each representing a father, mother, brother, sister, relatives, friends, and community. Our PAD program, which started nearly 15 years ago, has increased very low out-of-hospital cardiac arrest survival rates to 50% - 60%. (10% fluctuation: casualty resuscitated at the scene, not knowing whether discharged from hospital, which we cannot count).

The RRMC is progressing a new website that will have spectacular photo article features. Germoe Parish Council has been invited along with others for on-site PAD equipment presentation features in individual links on the website so that people are aware of their hard work in safeguarding and protecting their communities.
