Neighbourhood Priorities 2026

As part of Germoe Parish Council's commitment to engage with, and represent the wishes of, the residents of the parish; the council has resolved to produce a Neighbourhood Priority Statement (NPS).

The NPS will "Focus on community priorities for growth and change – what benefits can new development bring to the existing community? What changes would residents like to see over the longer term?", whilst a significant element of the NPS will focus on planning... Germoe Parish Council will ensure that the NPS highlights other important areas that affect our community e.g. protection of the natural environment, facilities and amenities within the parish, support for vulnerable residents etc.

The attached presentation is intended to give residents an early opportunity to familiarise yourselves with the objectives and process of the NPS... we are currently in the very early stages of a lengthy process which will have the participation and aspirations of parish communities, organisations and individuals at the core of it's thinking. We have also provided the following link to the Cornwall Council Lets Talk portal:

https://letstalk.cornwall.gov.uk/planning-for-our-future/surveys/lets-talk-development1

... this survey will be produced in hard copy and made available to residents preferring to have their thoughts recorded in non-electronic formats.

During the coming weeks Germoe Councillors will be joined by representatives of community groups to establish a timeframe and scope for the project... if you wish to take part in the process, or would like further information, please contact any of the elected Members (contact details available under the "About Your Council" tab on this website) or by contacting me ([email protected]

The NPS is a great opportunity for all residents to shape the way forward in Germoe Parish for the benefit of all.
