Councillors’ responsibilities within the community

APPOINTMENT OF COUNCILLORS TO POSTS OF RESPONSIBILITY 2024/2025

Bank Signatories
It was agreed that Cllr Mrs Praed, and Cllr Mrs Doeser should continue to act as signatories for Germoe Parish Council’s bank account. It was also agreed to look at moving to online banking signatures

Financial Scrutineer
It was agreed that Cllr Mrs Doeser should scrutinise the accounts on a half-yearly basis.

Notice-Boards
It was agreed that the following Councillors should be responsible for the following notice-boards and now that the new clerk was resident in Germoe he could assist.
Balwest Cllr Goddard
Great Work Cllr Goddard
Nevada House Cllr Doeser
Germoe Parish Clerk
Newtown Parish Clerk
Tresowes Green Cllr Doeser

Footpaths and Bridleways
It was agreed that Cllr Fryer should be responsible for footpaths and bridleways.

Planning
It was agreed that Cllr Bell and Cllr D Fryer should, in the first instance, be responsible for considering planning observations.

Community Area Partnership (CAP)
It was agreed that Cllr Mrs Doeser should represent Germoe Parish Council at meetings of the CAP. Cllr Peters will also attend those meetings.

Germoe School
It was agreed that Cllr D Fryer should liaise with the Germoe School authorities.

Press Liaison and Social Media Officer
It was agreed that Cllr Bell should act as the Press Liaison and Social Media Officer.

Defibrillators
It was agreed that the following Councillors should be responsible for the following defibrillators
Balwest Cllr K Doeser
Germoe Cllr Bell
Trewithen Terrace Cllr Mrs Marshall

Councillors’ Registers of Interests

Cornwall Council maintains a Register of Interests both for its own Councillors and for Councillors of the Town and Parish Councils in the county.

A copy of the Register is available for public inspection at County Hall, Treyew Road, Truro TR1 3AY during office hours.
