🌿 Clerk to Germoe Parish Council
Part-time Flexible Home-based £13.90–£14.82/hr

Germoe Parish Council is seeking a well-organised and community-minded Clerk and Responsible Financial Officer to support our work across Germoe, Balwest, Tresowes, Tresowes Hill and Trewithen Terrace.
This part-time role (37 hours/month) offers flexible home-based working, with a £20/month allowance. The Clerk is the Council’s key administrator and advisor, ensuring smooth operations and legal compliance. Monthly evening meetings are held on the first Thursday.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing agendas, attending meetings, and writing minutes
- Managing correspondence and advising councillors
- Overseeing finances (precept £16,000), payroll, VAT, and audit prep
- Coordinating planning responses and updating the website
We’re looking for someone with strong admin and IT skills, ideally with local government experience and familiarity with accounting. CiLCA qualification is desirable, or a willingness to work towards it.
